Those are some very good tips for men over 50 who start dating again. I am 65 and would add a few other rules to your list. When internet dating, you should set up a meeting by the fourth e-mail of you are wasting your time. If she prefers talking on the telephone, the meeting should come after two telephone conversations or you should move on. Meeting for lunch is a good idea for the first two meetings. After the third meeting, the woman should do something to show some initiative — invite you out, or invite you in for wine or dessert, or even invite you over for dinner — otherwise it is time to move on. These rules come from my experiences, which I wrote about (if you are interested) in Internet Safari, Finding Love Online at 65. I met 19 women in a four month period of time and saw about half of them more than once and several of them three times. By the third date you usually have a good idea of whether the relationship has any long-term possibilities.
