Cupid hit a bull’s eye when my husband and I first met on a theatre balcony on Valentine’s Day in 1982. Ever since then, the continuing theme of our relationship has been love and romance. Many people wonder how we keep our love so “fresh;” how it can be that we love waking up to look into each other’s eyes in the morning; how “after all these years” we still enjoy walking hand-in-hand. From the beginning we made this promise to each other: To always communicate our feelings, no matter what. We don’t go to bed angry at each other. Sure, we have had our “lover’s quarrels”, even one or two earth-shaking ones, but we’ve always managed to get past them, laugh at ourselves, kiss and make up.
